Denny – ACDR Angel

With heavy hearts we share the news of the recent loss of sweet Denny, another ACDR Alumni.
In April 2019, Denny was one of 6 dogs that arrived into ACDR’s care from Texas. Before being adopted he needed to have all his teeth removed, a wire had to be inserted to give his jaw stability, and he required a skin graft to cover some of the holes that were going into his nasal cavity. His jaw bone was even starting to deteriorate in places. He may have had a rough first several years of life, but boy oh boy, did he end up winning the lottery with his furever family. He looked no further than his foster family, Sharon & Sam, who fell madly in love and officially adopted him. Please share your kind words of support for Sharon & Sam as they mourn the loss of this beautiful soul.
In the words of his Mom…
Within the first week of having him I knew it would be a foster fail. He wasn’t your typical ween besides liking to burrow. He apparently had lived with a homeless person and he really knew how to just mind his own business. He was totally disinterested in other dogs. He was extremely sweet. He had the most beautiful dark eyes rimmed in black and he loved to beg like a little gopher on his two back legs. He loved going for walks (except in bad weather) and loved to lay in the sun. He was very friendly, eventually warming up to everyone he met. When we got him, all of his teeth had been extracted so his little jaw was a bit lopsided and his tongue hung out a lot. It just made him more endearing. We were blessed to have him in our lives for 5 years. We miss him dearly. He was such a little angel.❤️
